FAQ
Questions from funeral homes
The service
How quickly will we get the film?
The same day. Send the photos in the morning and the finished film comes back by evening, in time for the crematorium's or church's deadline.
How many photos can a film have?
Up to 200. Every photo is shown whole, never cropped to fit. About 40 photos make a three-minute film.
Will our funeral home's name be on the film?
Yes. Every film closes with "Arranged with care by" and your funeral home's name.
What styles can the family choose from?
Six: Classic, Memory Table, Tree of Life, Storybook, Stained Glass and Paper Theatre. You can see a sample of each on the styles page.
What music can the family use?
Tell us the family's song and we time the film to it, so it ends softly rather than cutting off. If they don't have one, we suggest a gentle piece from our library.
Can the family ask for changes?
Yes. Tell us what to change, such as a photo, a word or the order, and we send an updated film.
Crematoria and delivery
What file do we receive?
A 1080p MP4 (H.264) with the music built in, through a private download link. It plays on a crematorium screen, a church or funeral home screen, a TV, a USB stick or a webcast.
Will the crematorium charge to play it?
Most UK crematoria charge £29–40 to check and play a film that is supplied to them, and more if they have to edit it. Our films arrive finished, with the music built in. See the crematorium fees page for examples.
Do you work with funeral homes in Ireland?
Yes, across Ireland and the UK.
Families
Can a family order a film directly?
Yes. Families can order a tribute film for £29, everything included, ready the same day if ordered by 2pm. See the page for families.
Price and privacy
How much does it cost?
Funeral directors: your first film is on us. After that it is £29 a film, excluding VAT. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee and no contract.
What do we charge the family?
That is up to you. Add it to your price list like any other tribute. UK funeral homes list photo slideshows at £50–102 today.
What happens to the family's photos?
They are used only to make the film. We share them only through private links, and delete them 30 days after the film is delivered.
Do you show families' films anywhere?
Never without the family's written permission.
